Job summary

A construction services company in Singapore is seeking a Civil Engineer to manage Deep Soil Mixing and Piling operations. Responsibilities include overseeing projects from inception to completion, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with safety and design standards. Job description

Responsibilities

• Manage Deep Soil Mixing or Piling job direct operations as well as manage subcontractors
• Deal with client on progress, reporting, QA/QC, scheduling and planning
• Handle design, submission and compliance
• Oversee and manage civil and building construction projects from inception to completion.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
• Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
• Resolve any technical issues that arise during construction.
• Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including progress reports and schedules.
• Ensure all project documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure high standards of workmanship.
• Ensure and monitor all instrumentation compliance to the design requirement.
• Address any non-conformities promptly and effectively.
• Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Ensure proactive measures are in place to prevent accidents and incidents on-site.
• Work closely with project teams, including architects, engineers, and other professionals, to achieve project goals.
• Foster a collaborative and positive working environment on-site.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering recognized by the PE Board or qualifications accepted by the Commissioner of Building Control for registration as a Resident Engineer.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply, while candidates with at least 3 years of relevant experience will be given preference.
• Experience with Bored Pile or Ground Improvement is highly advantageous
• Proficient in MS Office / Ms Project, AutoCAD
• Strong technical knowledge of civil and building construction practices and standards.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
