Job summary

A leading recruitment agency in Singapore is seeking a Project Manager for the Precision Engineering sector. You will manage projects related to new product introductions, facilitate communication between teams, and conduct data analysis. The ideal candidate has a degree in Engineering and at least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage projects related to new product introduction which covers both build to print and customised parts.
  • Monitor the status of first article orders/projects, analysing potential risks and issues that may impact delivery schedules, and implement appropriate countermeasures to mitigate them.
  • Organize new requirements into actionable tasks for team members, ensuring clarity and accountability.
  • Develop, maintain, and generate performance reports detailing project status, risks, and achievements for internal distribution and review.
  • Foster collaboration and communication between the Sales team, customers, and internal stakeholders to facilitate effective follow-up actions and closure of projects.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes and procedure.
  • Conduct data analysis, including the development of dashboards and reports with the business intelligence tools and recommend corrective measures for any identified discrepancies.
  • Support Request for Quotes (RFQs) process which includes developing accurate, timely, and competitive quotations in response to Sales’ inquiries.
  • Perform root cause analysis of data discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
  • Facilitate site visits for customers and prepare presentations.
  • Undertake any other duties as assigned by the management team to support the overall goals and objectives of the Product Management department.
Requirements / Qualifications:
  • Degree in Engineering, Data science or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience manufacturing environment. Preferably in new product introduction, inside sales, quotation support or order processing.
  • Detail-oriented, responsive, and customer-centric.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office required and SAP required.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI and SQL) is advantageous.
  • Knowledge in optics is advantageous.
