JOB DUTIES &RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Procurement Workflow Redesign
- Review existing procurement workflows across business units to identify inefficiencies, duplication, and control gaps.
- Redesign and standardise end-to-end procurement processes, including requisitioning, sourcing, contracting, purchasing, and payment.
- Develop process maps, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and control frameworks aligned with organisational policies and best practices.
- Support change management activities, including stakeholder engagement, communications, and training.
2. Harmonisation of Material Codes
- Review and rationalise existing material and service codes used across business units.
- Develop and maintain a standardised material master structure, naming conventions, and classification rules.
- Coordinate with business users to cleanse, consolidate, and migrate legacy material data.
- Establish governance processes to ensure ongoing data accuracy and consistency.
3. ERP Centralised Procurement Module Support
- Support the design, configuration, and testing of the centralised procurement module within the ERP system.
- Translate business procurement requirements into functional specifications for system implementation.
- Participate in system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and data migration activities.
- Assist in preparing user guides, training materials, and post-go-live support documentation.
- Participate in ERP system development and other related modules support.
4. Stakeholder & Project Support
- Work closely with business units, digitalisation and finance teams, and external consultants to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
- Track project milestones, risks, and issues related to procurement transformation initiatives.
- Provide ad-hoc procurement analysis, reports, and support as required.
SKILLS REQUIREMENT
- Strong understanding of end-to-end procurement processes and controls.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders and manage change.
- Detail-oriented, structured, and able to manage multiple workstreams concurrently.
- Experience in process mapping and documentation (e.g. BPMN, Visio).
- Strong analytical and data management skills.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE
- Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Professional certification (e.g. CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent) is an advantage.
YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE(S) REQUIRED
- 3–7 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or procurement transformation roles.
- Hands-on experience in procurement process improvement or workflow redesign.
- Experience in ERP implementation or enhancement projects (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Workday, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Experience in material master data management or data standardisation is highly desirable.
