Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Physical Education & Health Teacher for our international school at one-north. The successful candidate will primarily teach Physical Education and Health and may also be involved in teaching a range of primary-level subjects in alignment with Cambridge curriculum guidelines. This role focuses on supporting students’ physical, social and emotional development in a safe, caring and engaging learning environment.

Working Hours (Full-Time)
- Monday to Friday: 8.30am – 5.30pm
- 2 Saturdays per month: Flexi Timing
Salary
- SGD $2,600 – $3,000 per month
(commensurate with qualifications and experience)
Key Responsibilities
A. Physical Education & Health
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging PE and Health lessons in accordance with school and Cambridge curriculum requirements.
- Promote healthy lifestyles, physical fitness, sportsmanship and teamwork among students.
- Ensure a safe environment for all physical activities and enforce proper use of equipment and facilities.
- Organise and support sports activities, events and co-curricular programmes.
- Monitor and assess students’ progress in PE and Health, providing timely feedback and guidance.
B. Primary Classroom Teaching
Primary school teachers teach a range of subjects at the primary level. Tasks include:
- Preparing daily and longer-term lesson plans in accordance with curriculum guidelines.
- Instructing children individually and in groups using a variety of teaching methods and materials (e.g. computers, books, games), and adapting to children’s varying needs.
- Maintaining discipline and encouraging good learning habits in the classroom.
- Planning and conducting activities such as sporting events, concerts and excursions.
- Assigning and grading classwork and homework.
- Preparing, administering and grading tests and assignments to evaluate children’s progress.
- Observing and evaluating children’s performance and behaviour.
- Supervising children during classes and at other times in the school day, including the playground during breaks.
C. Collaboration, Reporting & Communication
- Participate in staff meetings, programme review meetings and other professional discussions.
- Confer with colleagues on educational and pastoral matters.
- Prepare for and attend parent meetings to discuss children’s progress and concerns.
- Monitor, track and report on students’ academic and behavioural progress, including basic academic counselling where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of attendance, assessments and other required documentation.
- Provide constructive feedback to Management on teaching and learning processes and overall class performance.
Requirements
- Minimum a Diploma (in Education, Sports Science, Physical Education or a related discipline preferred).
- At least 1 year of relevant teaching experience, preferably at the primary level.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- Genuine passion for working with children and for promoting sports, health and holistic development.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural, international school environment.
