My client is seeking a hands‑on Payroll Specialist to manage end‑to‑end payroll operations for a diverse workforce comprising both blue‑collar and white‑collar employees. This role is critical in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll delivery, while strengthening payroll governance and supporting the organization’s broader ambition to build disciplined, data‑driven people operations.

The Payroll Specialist will work closely with Human Resources, Finance, and operational stakeholders, taking full ownership of payroll execution while also contributing to continuous process improvement and system effectiveness.

The Challenges
  • Manage the full end‑to‑end payroll cycle for a mixed workforce, including monthly payroll processing, overtime, shift allowances, incentives, bonuses, and statutory deductions.
  • Execute payroll accurately and independently using Prosoft, supported by employee data maintained in SuccessFactors.
  • Validate payroll inputs, perform reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and ensure timely resolution of payroll issues.
  • Handle off‑cycle payroll runs, final payments, ad‑hoc adjustments, and special payroll scenarios as required.
  • Ensure full compliance with Singapore statutory and regulatory requirements, including Central Provident Fund contributions, income tax reporting, levies, and other statutory submissions.
  • Prepare and submit statutory reports accurately and on time, maintaining audit‑ready payroll records and documentation.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for payroll‑related queries from employees, managers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Partner closely with Human Resources to support employee lifecycle events such as onboarding, transfers, promotions, and exits, ensuring payroll accuracy and alignment.
  • Collaborate with Finance on payroll reconciliation, accruals, and financial reporting to ensure consistency and data integrity.
  • Serve as the payroll subject‑matter expert for Prosoft and SuccessFactors, ensuring effective system usage and high data quality.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline payroll processes, reduce manual interventions, and enhance reporting through structured data and analytics.
  • Support payroll‑related system enhancements, upgrades, testing, or process changes when required.
What It Takes
  • Proven experience managing end‑to‑end payroll operations in Singapore, ideally covering both blue‑collar and white‑collar employee populations.
  • Hands‑on experience with Prosoft payroll system is essential.
  • Working knowledge of SuccessFactors or a comparable Human Resource Information System.
  • Strong understanding of Singapore payroll legislation, statutory submissions, and compliance requirements.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and accountability in payroll execution.
  • Strong analytical capability, with the ability to interpret payroll data and identify trends, risks, or improvement opportunities.
  • Ability to work independently in a time‑sensitive environment and manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Clear communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across Human Resources, Finance, and operational teams.
  • Professional, discreet, and trusted in handling confidential employee and payroll information.
