We currently have multiple openings for Patient Service Associate roles in various departments:

  2. Patient Service Associate (UCC - Urgent Care Centre)

  3. Patient Service Associate (AASC - Admissions and Service Centre)

  4. Patient Service Associate (Inpatient Wards)

Opening 1: Patient Service Associate (SOC)

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure clinic's operational and procedural area readiness based on desired service standards.

  • Assist with smooth patient journey including accurate and timely registration, discharge, appointment bookings, cashiering and any other enquiries such as insurance provider's information for billing.

  • Provide chaperone assistance to doctors/nurses and prepare consultation documents.

  • Attend to any requests, emails and phone enquiries.

  • Assist clinic manager in administrative duties.

  • Perform any other ad-hoc duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.

Working schedule: 5 days’ work week. Monday to Friday office hours.

Opening 2: Patient Service Associate (Urgent Care Centre)

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure department’s operational readiness. Ensure that workstations are kept tidy and clean at all times. Ensure sufficient stationery stock is maintained in the department.

  • Assist with smooth patient journey including:

    • Registration of patients, and updating of NOK contacts

    • Attending to and managing patients’ enquiries

    • Assisting with admission process, which includes financial counselling and monitoring of bed request status

    • Discharging of patients which includes system discharge, scheduling of appointments and payment collection.

    • Providing value-added services that contributed to the smooth operations of the department and overall staff and patient satisfaction.

    • Ensuring accurate and timely registration and promote the usage of self-help kiosk.

    • Provide administrative assistance in the daily operations and department events.

    • Perform any other ad-hoc duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.

Working schedule: 5 days’ work week (Monday to Sunday, inclusive of Public Holidays), on 3 rotating shifts (Morning 7.30am to 3.30pm, afternoon 1.30pm to 9.30pm and midnight 9pm to 8am).

Opening 3: Patient Service Associate (Admission and Service Centre)

Duties & Responsibilities

Financial Counselling /Admission

  • Conduct financial counselling to patient/NOK on the estimated hospital bills, available subsidies and schemes and various modes of payment.

  • Assist patients to complete the various modes of payment forms.

  • Refer appropriate cases to Business Office/Medical Social Worker for financial assistance schemes that patient may be eligible for.

  • Ensure proper documentation and follow up is done for all inflight cases until patient discharge.

Patient Billing Matters

  • Assist patients/NOK in their billing enquiries.

  • To collect deposits and any outstanding bills for eligible patients

  • To collect payment for other items ordered/applied by medical team such as rehabilitation items, mobility aids etc

  • Perform settlement for NETS / Credit Card transactions daily for patient outstanding payments.

Handling and processing of National forms (NEFR/MCAF/MT)

  • To be able to explain and advise patient/nok on the various forms and the necessary proof of documentation needed.

  • To ensure the original hardcopy of MCAF M/NEFR forms are submitted and send back to MOHH timely.

  • To ensure SAP system is updated whenever these forms are consented by patient.

Other Responsibilities

  • Perform daily housekeeping of the reception areas and workstations to maintain a professional image and neatness of the workplace.

  • Reply emails received in the AASC email account daily.

  • Ensure all e-BARFs and merge request cases are raised timely and correctly within the department.

  • To manage the department supplies inventory.

  • Involve and engage in ad-hoc projects as assigned by Reporting Officer.

Working schedule: 5 days’ work week. Monday to Friday 8.30am to 6pm, Saturday 8.30am to 5.30pm. One weekday & Sunday off.

Opening 4: Patient Service Associate (Inpatient Wards)

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Handle admission, discharge and transferring of patients into wards, which includes creating and maintaining proper personal records of patients without compromising any data and safety breaches.

  • Making internal and external appointments for patients as per ordered by doctors.

  • Ensure ward’s operational and procedural area readiness based on desired service standards.

  • Provide basic financial counselling to patient and next-of-kin when requested.

  • Manage stock inventory within the assigned ward.

  • Provide chaperone assistance to doctors/nurses and prepare documents throughout patients’ stay.

  • Perform any other ad-hoc duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.

Working schedule: 5 days’ work week (Monday to Saturday, including Public Holidays) on rotating shifts. Earliest shift starts from 8am to 5:30pm, and latest shift starts from 11am to 8pm.

Requirements
  • Minimum GCE “O” Levels qualification or equivalent.

  • Proficient in computer skills (Microsoft Office), handling multiple systems such as SAP will be an advantage.

  • Team player with good communication, customer service and interpersonal skills.

  • Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Candidates should be comfortable/flexible with working in a hospital setting and in different clinics when needed. Prior experience in hospitality or service industries will be an advantage.

  • This is a 2-year contract role, subjected to contract extension or permanent conversion with satisfactory work performance.
