Job description
Part-time Counsellor/Youth Worker

You will be part of the Counselling-Youth team based in school where you will work with assigned students. You will mentor, propose, and set up counselling intervention, applying proven framework to create therapeutic alliance with the youths in C3’s programmes.

  • Provide emotional support to students in schools with the goal of improving their social, psychological and emotional wellbeing
  • You are required to work closely with key personnel from school to take on tier 2 and 3 students, and provide specific support and work schools to achieve identified outcomes
  • Plan, execute and evaluate on-going youth programmes and services
  • Conduct analysis of community needs, develop, implement, and grow the C3’s school programmes and services
  • Provide individual and group intervention for youths in C3’s programme, both face-to-face and over virtual platforms
  • Organize and conduct psycho-education workshops and support groups (face-to-face and virtual)
  • Network with relevant stakeholders and external organizations
  • Support growth of department with team members.
Admin / Programme responsibilities
  • Perform administration / billing / programme responsibilities that supports the operational work
  • Manage the correspondences of the organisation
  • Coordinate with staff, stakeholders, volunteers and beneficiaries with regards to programmes.
Other Responsibilities
  • Assist in the various Programmes of C3 as required
  • Assist in fund raising, administration and other responsibilities as required
Competencies
  • Possess minimum a bachelor’s degree in counselling, social work, or psychology from recognised universities
  • Experience with youth/school settings
  • Knowledge of MI, SFBT, or trauma-informed care (preferred)
  • Passion for supporting vulnerable students
  • MOE REMS registered instructor (required)
  • Energetic and team playerWilling to engage students outside counselling room.
