Job summary

Pentagon Freight Services (Singapore) Private Limited is seeking a proactive Freight Forwarding Coordinator to support day-to-day Ocean, Air and Road freight operations in Singapore. You will plan shipments, arrange logistics, and coordinate closely with internal teams and customers to ensure smooth end-to-end handling of imports/exports.

The role requires excellent communication, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining compliance and service levels.

Qualifications

• Relevant freight forwarding experience, preferably Ocean Freight exposure
• Customer-focused with ability to grow business
• Analytical mindset to identify growth opportunities
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Effective communication to minimize gaps with customers
• Risk awareness and compliance with company policies
• Singaporeans and PRs preferred
• Open to fresh graduates or candidates with 2–3 years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Support day to day Ocean, Air and Road Freight operations
• Plan shipments including Air, LCL, FCL, Breakbulk etc
• Arrange haulage and manage customs clearance declarations
• Coordinate with internal departments and customers
• Handle import/export shipments and documentation end-to-end
• Troubleshoot and resolve customer inquiries and disputes
• Respond to enquiries promptly
• Obtain pricing and generate quotations based on customer needs
• Follow up on quotations with customers and overseas offices
• Collaborate with Sales on maintaining customers
• Monitor billing and ensure timely invoicing
• Participate in ad-hoc duties as required

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• This role supports day to day Ocean, Air and Road Freight operations
• Shipment planning consists of Air, LCL, FCL, Breakbulk etc
• Haulage arrangements
• Customs clearance declaration
• Work closely with internal departments to coordinate customer's shipments
• Handling Import and Export shipments & documentation from A to Z
• Troubleshooting and attending to customer complaints/disputes/ ministry/ official authority
• Ensure all enquirers are responded to within the shortest possible time frame
• To obtain pricing and generate complete/competitive quotation base on customer's requirements
• Follow up with customer, overseas agents and overseas offices on quotations/ proposal and negotiate to a closure
• Collaborate with Sales and Commercial on maintenance of customers
• Monitor billing and ensure timely invoicing
• Involvement in ad-hoc duties and assignments may be required from time to time

REQUIREMENTS

• Relevant Freight Forwarding Experience - Candidates with relevant freight forwarding experience, particularly those with Ocean Freight exposure will be preferred
