Job summary

Pentagon Freight Services (Singapore) Private Limited is seeking a Freight Forwarding professional to support day-to-day Ocean, Air and Road freight operations in Singapore. You will plan shipments, arrange hauls, handle customs, and coordinate across internal teams to ensure on-time, compliant delivery from A to Z.

The role requires 2–3 years of relevant experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day Ocean, Air and Road Freight operations.
• Shipment planning includes Air, LCL, FCL and Breakbulk.
• Haulage arrangements and logistics coordination.
• Handle customs clearance declaration processes.
• Coordinate shipments with internal departments.
• Manage Import and Export shipments and documentation end-to-end.
• Troubleshoot and address customer complaints and issues.
• Respond to inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Obtain pricing and generate complete quotations based on requirements.
• Follow up on quotations with customers and overseas offices.
• Collaborate with Sales/Commercial on maintaining customers.
• Monitor billing and ensure timely invoicing.
• Ad-hoc duties and assignments as required.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• This role supports day to day Ocean, Air and Road Freight operations

• Shipment planning consists of Air, LCL, FCL, Breakbulk etc

• Haulage arrangements

• Customs clearance declaration

• Work closely with internal departments to coordinate customer’s shipments

• Handling Import and Export shipments & documentation from A to Z

• Troubleshooting and attending to customer complaints/disputes/ ministry/ official authority

• Ensure all enquirers are responded to within the shortest possible time frame

• To obtain pricing and generate complete/competitive quotation base on customer’s requirements

• Follow up with customer, overseas agents and overseas offices on quotations/ proposal and negotiate to a closure

• Collaborate with Sales and Commercial on maintenance of customers

• Monitor billing and ensure timely invoicing

• Involvement in ad-hoc duties and assignments may be required from time to time

REQUIREMENTS

• Relevant Freight Forwarding Experience - Candidates with relevant freight forwarding experience, particularly those with Ocean Freight exposure will be preferred
