Job summary

Pentagon Freight Services (S) Pte Ltd is seeking a Freight Forwarding professional to support day-to-day Ocean, Air and Road operations in Singapore. You will plan shipments, coordinate with internal teams, handle import/export documentation, and manage pricing and quotations.

The role requires a customer-focused, analytical, and detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills. 2–3 years of relevant experience and Singapore PR or Singaporean status are preferred, with opportunities

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day Ocean, Air and Road Freight operations.
• Plan shipments including Air, LCL, FCL and Breakbulk.
• Arrange haulage and manage customs clearance declarations.
• Coordinate shipments with internal departments and customers.
• Handle Import and Export shipments and documentation end-to-end.
• Troubleshoot and resolve customer complaints and issues with authorities.
• Respond to inquiries promptly.
• Obtain pricing and generate complete/competitive quotations.
• Follow up with customers, agents and offices on quotations and proposals; close deals.
• Collaborate with Sales on maintaining customer relationships.
• Monitor billing and ensure timely invoicing.
• Ad-hoc duties may be assigned.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• This role supports day to day Ocean, Air and Road Freight operations

• Shipment planning consists of Air, LCL, FCL, Breakbulk etc

• Haulage arrangements

• Customs clearance declaration

• Work closely with internal departments to coordinate customer's shipments

• Handling Import and Export shipments & documentation from A to Z

• Troubleshooting and attending to customer complaints/disputes/ ministry/ official authority

• Ensure all enquirers are responded to within the shortest possible time frame

• To obtain pricing and generate complete/competitive quotation base on customer's requirements

• Follow up with customer, overseas agents and overseas offices on quotations/ proposal and negotiate to a closure

• Collaborate with Sales and Commercial on maintenance of customers

• Monitor billing and ensure timely invoicing

• Involvement in ad-hoc duties and assignments may be required from time to time

REQUIREMENTS

• Relevant Freight Forwarding Experience - Candidates with relevant freight forwarding experience, particularly those with Ocean Freight exposure will be preferred
