Job summary

MERCATA GROUP PTE. LTD.

in Singapore seeks a logistics professional to serve as the primary contact for customers on sea freight shipments and enquiries, coordinating import/export and cross-trade shipments to meet customer requirements. You will manage end-to-end shipment coordination (booking, arrival notices, documentation, transportation, tracking, and insurance) while liaising with carriers, warehouses, transport providers, overseas agents and internal teams, ensuring accurate shipping

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for customers on sea freight shipments and enquiries
• Coordinate import, export, and cross-trade shipments in accordance with customer requirements
• Manage end-to-end shipment coordination (booking, arrival notice, documentation, transportation, tracking, and insurance)
• Liaise with carriers, forwarders, warehouses, transport providers, overseas agents and internal teams
• Ensure accuracy of shipping documentation (BL, Switch BL, invoices, permits, etc.) including verification of shipping costings
• Register customer records and shipment data in system
• Monitor shipment status and proactively update customers on delays or issues
• Handle shipments issues and resolve service-related complaints professionally
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and company procedures
• Prepare relevant operational and service performance reports
• Participate in process improvement and service quality initiatives
