Pentagon Freight Services (S) Pte Ltd is seeking a proactive freight operations specialist in Singapore. The role covers day-to-day ocean, air and road freight operations, including shipment planning, customs declarations, and coordination with internal teams to meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong operational support across ocean, air and road freight workflows.
• Coordinate shipment planning including air, ocean, LCL, FCL and breakbulk.
• Arrange haulage and customs clearance declarations.
• Work with internal teams to meet customer shipment requirements.
• Handle import/export documentation end-to-end and maintain client relationships.
• Respond promptly to inquiries and resolve customer complaints or disputes.
• Obtain pricing and generate complete quotations based on customer needs.
• Follow up with customers, agents and offices to close proposals.
• Collaborate with Sales to sustain and grow key accounts.
• Monitor billing and ensure timely invoicing.
• Assist with ad-hoc duties as needed.

Job description

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Strong operational knowledge within Freight Forwarding covering Air, Ocean and Crosstrade.

• This role supports day to day Ocean, Air and Road Freight operations

• Shipment planning consists of Air, LCL, FCL, Breakbulk etc.

• Haulage arrangements

• Customs clearance declaration

• Work closely with internal departments to coordinate customer's shipments

• Handling Import and Export shipments & documentation from A to Z

• Build and maintain good rapport with customers to fulfill their requirements

• Troubleshooting and attending to customer complaints/disputes.

• Troubleshooting and attending to ministry/official authority.

• Ensure all enquirers are responded to within the shortest possible time frame.

• To obtain pricing and generate complete/competitive quotation base on customer's requirements.

• Follow up with customer, overseas agents and overseas offices on the quotation/proposal and negotiate to a closure.

• Collaborate with Sales and Commercial on maintenance of customers.

• Monitor billing and ensure timely invoicing.

• Involvement in ad-hoc duties and assignments may be required from time to time.
