Job summary

KC INTL LOGISTICS SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a logistics professional to liaise with clients, contractors, and overseas agents to ensure cost-efficient cargo transport and accurate documentation.

You will handle route planning, customs compliance, bills of lading, and customer service duties, coordinating with internal and external teams to meet tight schedules and uphold service standards. Immediate start preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Logistics/Supply Chain or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with clients, contractors and overseas agents to coordinate cargo collection and delivery.
• Negotiate routes, fees and contracts for cost-effective transport.
• Prepare and check documentation for customs compliance and insurance.
• Ensure compliance with overseas country requirements and fiscal regimes.
• Create ocean bills of lading and shipper's export declarations.
• Provide customer service to shippers, suppliers, and consignees.
• Audit bills of lading for correct rates and populate cargo on-hand reports.
• Coordinate with warehouse and agents to print documents at destination.
• Prepare and transmit cargo reports to customers.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Liaise with client and contractors for collection cargo and overseas agent for delivery of cargo. You will also be expected to work closely with both internal and external agents to ensure the transportation of cargo is done in the most cost effective and efficient way.
• Ensure the route for transporting goods overseas including negotiating fees and contracts on behalf of the client.
• Check and prepare all documentation to ensure details are correct and compliant with Customs requirements and ensure all insurance requirements are also in place.
• Ensure the goods are in compliance with overseas countries' requirements and fiscal regimes so that goods are transported quickly and efficiently thereby keeping costs to a minimum.
• Creation of ocean bill of lading to facilitate the movement of cargo
• Handle all of the customer service requirements in dealing with the shipper, supplier, consignee and any other agents or forwarders involved in the shipment.
• All bills of lading to be audited to ensure that the correct rates populated our bills of lading.
• Creation of cargo on hand reports and transmission of such reports to customers to keep them advised of what is in their inventory.
• Load plan exclusive container loads and submit loads to the warehouse manager on Export cargo.
• Creation of Shipper's Export Declarations on behalf of those shippers requiring such.
• Work with agents on status of on hand cargo and coordinate the information on shipments so that they are able to print documents at destination
• Performs any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by Supervisor

Requirements:

• Min Diploma in Logistics/Supply Chain or Equivalent
• Preferred 3 years of relevant working experience
• Willing to learn
• Good knowledge of Customs formalities
• Pleasant personality & service-oriented
• Patient, able to multi-task, team player and work under pressure.
• Must be able to work overtime
• Preferably applicant who has basic knowledge in supply chain/ logistics field
• A self-starter and quick learner who possesses the ability to be effective at addressing issues; interfacing with both internal and external customers.
• Possess good verbal and written communication skills and good cultural awareness.
• Spoken/Writing in English is compulsory.
• Able to start work immediately or within short notice.
