Job description

This live-in position is responsible for providing high-quality personal care and assistance to elderly residents at the Abdulla Shooker Jewish Welfare Home, ensuring their well-being and comfort. This role involves a combination of caregiving duties and household tasks, contributing to a clean, organized, and supportive living environment.

1. Personal Care

• Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Support residents with mobility, including transferring and positioning them safely.
• Monitor and record residents' health conditions, including vital signs, and report any changes to supervisor.
• Assist with medical appointments.

2. Household Assistance

• Perform light housekeeping duties, including cleaning residents' rooms, common areas, and bathrooms
• Do the grocery shopping runs
• Assist in meal preparation, serving meals, and feeding residents who require assistance.
• Maintain a clean and hygienic environment by following infection control policies.

3. Emotional and Social Support

• Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities with residents.
• Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere, encouraging residents' independence and participation in activities.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to address concerns and ensure the residents' needs are met.

4. Safety and Compliance

• Adhere to all safety protocols and emergency procedures.
