Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network & Security Engineer (L2/L3) to support and operate complex, multi-vendor enterprise network and security environments. This role requires deep technical expertise in routing, switching, network security, automation, and operational governance, along with the ability to manage incidents, drive service excellence, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across mission-critical infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide Level 2 and Level 3 operational support for enterprise network and security infrastructure, ensuring stability, performance, and availability.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex incidents, problems, and service disruptions, performing root cause analysis (RCA) and implementing permanent fixes.
  • Manage and resolve incidents in accordance with ITIL-based Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes.
  • Ensure adherence to SLA, OLA, and KPI commitments while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
  • Plan, review, and implement network and security changes in compliance with approved Change Management frameworks.
  • Perform configuration, upgrades, patches, and optimization of network and security devices.
  • Validate and document changes, ensuring rollback plans and risk mitigation strategies are in place.
  • Enforce security policies, standards, and best practices across network infrastructure.
  • Support compliance with internal governance requirements and client regulatory standards.
  • Monitor and analyze security events using SIEM and monitoring tools, identifying potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Support vulnerability assessments, remediation activities, and security audits.
  • Operate and support technologies including but not limited to Cisco Routers, Switches, Wireless LAN, Firewalls, Load Balancers, Proxy Solutions, Monitoring & SIEM Security & Risk Tools.
  • Design, develop, and maintain network automation solutions using scripting languages and orchestration tools.
  • Leverage tools such as Python, Ruby, Ansible, AlgoSec, Chef to reduce manual effort and operational risk.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, standardization, and automation within network and security operations.
  • Develop, maintain, and review technical documentation, including network diagrams, SOPs, runbooks, and CMDB records.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date operational documentation to support audit readiness and operational continuity.
  • Conduct knowledge transfer sessions and technical training for operations and junior engineers.
  • Collaborate with project teams during solution design, deployment, and commissioning.
  • Ensure structured and effective handover from project delivery to operations.
  • Participate in operational review meetings, service improvement initiatives, and post-incident reviews.
  • Contribute technical expertise to infrastructure modernization and security enhancement programs.
  • Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, and public holidays as required.
  • Participate in standby/on-call rotations to support 24x7 operational environments.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5+ years of hands‑on experience in enterprise network and security operations.
  • Strong operational experience with Cisco networking technologies (Routing, Switching, WLAN).
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Cisco CCNP certification (mandatory); higher or additional security certifications are an advantage.
  • Proven experience supporting multi-vendor, multi‑site enterprise environments.
  • In-depth expertise in:
  • IP routing and switching protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, VLANs, STP, QoS)
  • Network security architectures and firewall policies
  • Load balancing and traffic optimization
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across network and security layers.
  • Experience working with SIEM, monitoring, and logging platforms.
  • Solid understanding of network resilience, high availability, and disaster recovery concepts.
  • Willingness to work 24/7 shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, if required.
