Job Summary

You will manage comprehensive cataloguing processes and metadata creation for both printed and digital library resources, ensuring accurate bibliographic information to support resource accessibility and user engagement.

Responsibilities

• Apply full and copy cataloguing techniques to organize library materials for efficient retrieval and management
• Develop and edit metadata for digital resources including ebooks, audiovisual materials, special collections, and photographs to enhance discoverability
• Create and update bibliographic records for printed and digital materials to maintain accurate and comprehensive library databases
• Utilize knowledge of AACR2, LCSH, MARC21, and DDC standards to ensure cataloguing consistency and compliance
• Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and patience to maintain high-quality cataloguing outputs

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Library Studies or Information Studies (Critical)
• Experience in cataloguing or library operations to support effective resource management
