Qualifications

• At least one year of relevant experience in membership engagement or event coordination.
• Experience coordinating corporate events, seminars or networking activities is advantageous.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Confident written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to engage with members, vendors, sponsors and senior stakeholders.
• Proactive, hands-on during events and able to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support membership recruitment, renewals and retention initiatives.
• Engage members via email, telephone and personalised outreach.
• Respond promptly to membership enquiries and provide information on benefits, events and professional development opportunities.
• Maintain accurate membership records, including renewals, payments and status.
• Gather member feedback and identify opportunities to improve the membership experience.
• Support the preparation of membership communications, newsletters and engagement activities.
• Coordinate seminars, workshops, networking sessions, conferences, industry awards and other MIS events.
• Manage event timelines, registration, venues, catering, A/V, speakers and on-site arrangements.
• Liaise with vendors, venues, speakers, volunteers and internal departments to ensure smooth delivery.
• Promote events through email, social media and the MIS website.
• Provide hands-on operational support before, during and after events.
• Prepare post-event reports covering attendance, feedback, expenditure and recommendations.
• Support identification and engagement of potential sponsors and industry partners.
• Assist in preparing sponsorship proposals and packages.
• Maintain positive relationships with existing sponsors and partners.
• Promote MIS awards and participation opportunities to organisations and nominees.
• Guide interested participants through the awards application process.
• Develop targeted sales strategies to increase award entries and event attendance.
• Guide nominees through the application process and highlight benefits of participation.
• Any other ad-hoc tasks as required.
