Job summary

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Deployment Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with hypervisors, network infrastructure, and system services, with a strong focus on deployment and implementation. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage and optimize our IT environment to ensure smooth and efficient deployments.

REQUIRED SKILL-SET and RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan, coordinate, and execute the deployment of virtual environments using vSphere, Nutanix, and Hyper-V.
• Ensure seamless integration and deployment of network switches, firewalls, and storage solutions.
• Implement and manage deployment processes for system services such as Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, failover clusters, file servers, and Certificate Authority.
• Configure and manage deployment environments to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Maintain detailed documentation of deployment configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Monitor deployment processes and environments to identify and resolve issues promptly.
• Perform post-deployment validation to ensure systems are functioning as expected.
• Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure successful deployments.
• Communicate deployment status, issues, and resolutions to stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline deployment processes is a plus.
• Utilize tools such as PowerShell, Ansible, etc. to automate repetitive tasks and ensure consistency is a plus.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience with hypervisors (vSphere, Nutanix, Hyper-V) and deployment processes.
• Strong knowledge of network switches, firewalls, and storage solutions.
• Hands-on experience with system services such as Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, failover clusters, file servers, and Certificate Authority.
• Proficiency in automation and scripting tools (e.g., PowerShell, Ansible).
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., VMware Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Nutanix) are a plus.
