Job Description and Responsibilities
- Work closely with Taste and Nutrition sales, marketing, and business development teams to identify customer needs and translate them into technical solutions and application projects.
- Oversee the design, development, and optimization of product applications (e.g., savory, flavor systems, seasonings, sports nutrition, beverages) using CJ's amino acids and food ingredients.
- Develop and implement a technical roadmap for the center aligned with CJ's global Taste and Nutrition strategy and Asia Pacific growth targets.
- Lead the Taste and Nutrition Sales & Marketing Department in Singapore, including overall strategy, planning, execution, and day-to-day operations.
- Provide high-level technical support to key customers, including product demonstrations, troubleshooting, formulation support, and technical presentations.
- Lead technical evaluations, sensory assessments, and application trials to validate product performance and demonstrate differentiated value tocustomers.
- Collaborate with global R&D, quality, regulatory, and manufacturing teams to ensure the feasibility, scalability, and regulatory compliance of developed solutions.
- Extract and analyze market, technology, and consumer insights to identify new application opportunities and support new product introductions in the region.
- Establish and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for the center and prepare regular technical and business reports on project pipeline, customer support activities, and impact on sales.
- Manage resources, budget, and facilities while leading and developing the technical team, building strong external relationships with strategic customers and industry partners, and representing CJ at customer meetings and industry events.
Job Qualifications, Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field, or in Business or a related field with strong technical exposure. (A Master’s degree or higher is preferred.)
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in savory, flavor, sports nutrition industries, food grade amino acid industry or similar industry such as nutritional/dietary supplements, pharmaceuticals, pet food preferred.
- Knowledge/background in referencing clinical trial studies in presenting supporting information/data to customers.
- Specialty product business development and B2B customer business experience required.
- Technical background (nutrition & health science) and P/L responsibility in dry food/beverage/seasoning & spices industry.
- Demonstrated history of successful management.
- Willingness to travel regionally and internationally as required for customer visits, trials, and internal meetings.
- At least 2 years of proven leadership and people management experience, preferably leading technical, application, or commercial teams.
- Korean language skills will be an advantage for communication with HQ and global stakeholders.
