Job summary

Ministry of Defence of Singapore is seeking a professional to strengthen service delivery continuity and business continuity planning for MINDEF/SAF. You will shape crisis preparedness and coordinate essential national services across multiple stakeholders.

The role focuses on defining critical functions, developing actionable SOPs, and exercising plans to ensure readiness in national emergencies while coordinating parliamentary responses and NDOC planning.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in organisational planning and business continuity planning preferred.
• Experience in operations management, contingency planning, or organisational readiness advantageous.
• Strong planning and coordination skills required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to communicate clearly across different levels of the organisation.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define operational roles and identify critical functions and dependencies.
• Develop SOPs and capabilities, and exercise plans to ensure readiness.
• Coordinate parliamentary duties and responses for PQ, COS Debate and other sessions for MINDEF/SAF.
• Manage the MINDEF Intranet business operations and development.
• Plan and coordinate the National Day Observance Ceremonies (NDOCs).
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to ensure service continuity.

You develop and enhance operational capability in the domain of service delivery for MINDEF/SAF, shaping business continuity planning and crisis preparedness initiatives that maintain essential services during national emergencies.

What You Will Be Working On

• Define operational roles and identify critical functions and dependencies
• Develop practical SOPs and capabilities, and exercise these plans to ensure they work when needed
• Coordinate parliamentary duties and responses for Parliamentary Questions (PQ), Committee of Supply (COS) Debate and other Parliamentary sessions and processes for MINDEF/SAF
• Manage the MINDEF Intranet business operations and development
• Plan and coordinate the National Day Observance Ceremonies (NDOCs)

• Ensuring the availability and relevance of the MINDEF/SAF Intranet systems and processes for service continuity

What We Are Looking For

• At least 3 years of relevant working experience in organisational planning and development, business continuity planning, or resource planning and management is preferred
• Experience in operations management, contingency planning, or organisational readiness would be an advantage
• Strong planning and coordination skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to communicate clearly across different levels of the organization
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders
• Ability to think through operational scenarios, identify dependencies, and translate plans into practical actions
