Job summary

MINDEF in Singapore seeks a capable administrator to provide comprehensive infrastructure, finance and logistics support for training operations. You will plan, coordinate and allocate resources to keep activities running smoothly and ensure governance and policy compliance.

The role requires at least 3 years in logistics, finance or related operational support, strong organisation and communication skills, and the ability to lead a team of National Servicemen.

What the role is:

You will provide comprehensive infrastructure, finance and logistics support, consolidating and managing these functions to ensure smooth and effective training operations.

What you will be working on:

• Ensure effective and timely management of the department's infrastructure, finance and logistics requirements
• Plan, coordinate, and allocate resources to support training operations
• Maintain financial and administrative governance
• Ensure compliance with established policies, procedures and governance requirements
• Lead and develop a team of National Servicemen
• Ensure timely follow-up and resolution of operational issues to support the smooth and uninterrupted conduct of activities

Challenges

• Managing a broad range of infrastructure, finance and logistics matters concurrently while retaining sufficient oversight of ongoing issues and requirements
• Providing timely and accurate advice to the team, ensuring that actions and decisions are aligned with established finance and logistics policies
• Tracking multiple ongoing tasks, requests and issues to ensure appropriate follow-up and timely completion
• Balancing competing priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy, attention to detail and adherence to required timelines

What we are looking for:

• Education in Finance, Budget, Facilities Management, or a related field is preferred
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in logistics, finance, training or related operational support functions is preferred
• Highly organised and meticulous
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence and ability to lead, coordinate and work effectively with a diverse group of staff
• Strong forward-planning and coordination abilities
• Ability to maintain strong system discipline
