Job summary

MINDEF seeks a finance governance professional to drive training and audit standards across the organisation. You will design training syllabi aligned with finance policies and coordinate audits to uphold governance.

You will review audit scopes, conduct training sessions, attend debriefs, and communicate findings to stakeholders, ensuring policy compliance and up-to-date practices. Strong English skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Education in Accountancy, Business, or related field preferred.
• Relevant auditing or finance governance experience preferred.
• Familiarity with auditing practices and AI tools advantageous.

What the role is:

You drive finance governance and standards through a training and audit framework, ensuring that finance policies are upheld across the organisation through structured training and rigorous audit practices.

What you will be working on:

• Design, organise, conduct and review the training syllabus based on the latest finance policies
• Coordinate the audit schedule
• Review the scope of audit as a finance auditor
• Remain conversant with prevailing finance guidelines and practices to maintain governance standards
• Conduct training sessions and attend audit debriefs
• Communicate audit findings and policies to stakeholders

Challenge(s)- Staying current with evolving finance policies and guidelines to ensure the training syllabus and audit framework remain relevant and up to date- Balancing the dual responsibilities of training facilitation and audit execution, both of which require a high level of subject matter expertise and communication proficiency

What we are looking for:

• Education in Accountancy, Business, or a related field is preferred
• Relevant experience in auditing or finance governance is preferred
• Familiarity with auditing work is advantageous
• Knowledge of auditing practices and AI tools and applications is advantageous
• Strong command of English
• Effective verbal and written communication skills(Applicants with no experience may apply.)
