Job summary

MINDEF in Singapore is seeking a senior Audit lead for the Finance and Procurement (F&P) Audit Section. The role involves planning and conducting audits across Army units to assess internal controls and identify weaknesses in financial and procurement practices.

You will review compliance with policies, prepare findings, and ensure follow-up on recommendations, collaborating with diverse stakeholders. A strong background in audit, procurement or finance is required.

Qualifications

• Education in Accountancy, Business, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in procurement, logistics, finance, or audit fields.
• Familiarity and proficiency in procurement and enterprise systems.
• Strong analytical and written communication skills.
• Effective stakeholder management skills.
• Strong leadership abilities.

What the role is:

You lead the Finance and Procurement (F&P) Audit Section in conducting audits across Army units, identifying systemic weaknesses and assessing internal controls to drive improvements in financial and procurement management.

What you will be working on:

• Plan and conduct audits across Army units to assess the effectiveness of internal controls
• Identify systemic weaknesses and recommend improvements to financial and procurement management practices
• Review and evaluate compliance with prevailing finance and procurement policies and guidelines
• Prepare audit findings and reports, and follow up on the implementation of recommendations
• Challenge(s)- Identifying systemic weaknesses across a diverse range of Army units while ensuring audit findings are actionable and drive meaningful improvements in internal controls

What we are looking for:

• Education in Accountancy, Business, Logistics, or a related field is preferred
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in procurement, logistics, finance, or audit fields
• Familiarity and proficiency in procurement and enterprise systems
• Strong analytical and written communication skills
• Effective stakeholder management skills
