Job summary

MINDEF in Singapore seeks a senior leader to head the Training Support Branch, overseeing the Admin, Training Coordination and Resource Management, and Logistics sections to ensure delivery of human resource, finance, training and logistics support functions.

You will supervise the Admin section in HR and finance matters, and oversee Training Coordination and Resource Management across four functions, while coordinating with Supply Base Central to support field and in-camp training needs and

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics, training resource management, operations, finance or stakeholder management.
• Knowledge of finance and logistics SOPs is advantageous.
• Education in Project Management, SCM or Finance preferred.

Job description

What the role is

You lead the Training Support Branch, overseeing the Admin, Training Coordination and Resource Management, and Logistics sections to ensure the effective delivery of human resource, finance, training and logistics support functions.

What you will be working on

• Supervise the Admin section in the management of human resource and finance matters
• Supervise the Training Coordination and Resource Management section across four key functions: Training Resource Management, Training Administration Management, Unit Consequence Management Plan, and Unit Operations Room Management
• Supervise the logistics officer in the accounting and management of unit inventory, and liaise with Supply Base Central to support field and in-camp training needs
• Challenge(s)
• Keeping abreast of evolving organisational priorities and transformation initiatives
• Responding at short notice to amendments in the unit's administration, training resource and logistics requirements
• Working effectively with diverse stakeholders to meet the branch's operational needs

What we are looking for

• Education in Project Management, Supply Chain Management, Finance or a related field is preferred
• At least 6 years of relevant experience in logistics, training resource management, operations, finance, or stakeholder management
• Prior experience and knowledge of finance and logistics Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training resource management is advantageous
