Job description

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of mechanical supervisors and contractors in plant maintenance, modification, and construction activities, ensuring timely, safe, and reliable execution without disruption to operations.
• Coordinate with plant operators and other maintenance groups to carry out works while maintaining safety and integrity of facilities.
• Conduct mechanical studies and implement modifications to plant facilities in line with technical specifications and business requirements.
• Perform technical investigations on equipment issues, evaluate findings, and recommend preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
• Oversee troubleshooting and repairs of static and rotating equipment, including heat exchangers, pressure vessels, agitators, pumps, compressors, and blowers.
• Provide training for staff and contractors to enhance skills and competency levels.
• Respond to plant emergencies and resolve mechanical issues within tight timelines.
• Support implementation of management systems in compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and SS651 standards.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of mechanical maintenance experience in the petrochemical industry.
• Hands-on knowledge in troubleshooting and repair of static and rotating equipment will be an advantage.
