Qualifications

Job description

Employment Type: Locum
Duration: 1–2 months
Location: Central region (acute hospital)
Work Pattern: 3–5 days per week
Shift Requirement: Must commit at least AM and PM shifts
Hourly Rate: $32 per hour (flat rate for all shifts)

Shift Timings

• Morning: 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
• Afternoon: 1:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
• Night: 8:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care, including pre-, intra-, and post-operative support
• Perform scrub and/or circulating duties in accordance with OT protocols
• Ensure proper preparation, sterility, and availability of surgical instruments and equipment
• Assist surgeons and anaesthetists during procedures
• Monitor patient condition and document care according to clinical requirements
• Uphold infection control, safety standards, and OT workflows
• Support theatre turnover and daily operational efficiency

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with valid practising certificate
• Prior experience and training in Operating Theatre nursing (scrub and/or circulating)
• Able to commit 3–5 days per week
• Must be able to work AM and PM shifts; night duty preferred
