The role provides HR Business Partnering with primary focus on the Jurong sites, while also working closely with other HRBPs / IRER Lead across the wider organisation. It is responsible for driving the people agenda through strong stakeholder partnership, hands‑on people advisory, and an embedded presence within the business. It also supports Aster’s Industrial Relations (IR) agenda by coordinating IR matters at the site level to reflect a grounded HR approach, being actively engaged with teams, integrated into daily operations, and consistently present to support employees and managers alike.
Partner closely with Jurong site leaders to activate the people strategy in alignment with business and operational needs.
Champion the talent agenda by working with the managers and teams to:
Identify and plan succession for leadership and critical roles.
Support the growth of emerging leaders and strengthen graduate talent pipelines.
Collaborate with site leaders on organisation design, workforce planning, and change efforts by providing grounded HR advance and support throughout implementation.
Represent HR in site leadership and cross‑functional forums, ensuring people considerations are embedded in business decisions.
Partner with Centres of Expertise (COEs) to co‑create and implement integrated HR solutions across reward, talent, learning, and employee experience.
Work with internal stakeholders to build a strong culture of performance, accountability, and engagement.
Participant in graduate and capability development programmes.
Industrial Relations
Partner with line managers and HR colleagues to ensure consistent and fair application of IR practices.
Support compliance with internal IR standards and Singapore’s employment regulations.
Work in close partnership with the IR Lead & GM, HR on broader IR matters, including union engagement and strategy.
Represent the organisation in HR- or IR‑related forums and external engagements relevant to site operations.
A degree in Human Resources or a related field.
Typically brings around 5-10 years of broad HR experience, including significant time in a business partnering capacity.
Background in unionised environments is highly beneficial.
Familiarity with Singapore’s employment regulations and tripartite practices is important for navigating the local landscape.
Strong ability driving hands‑on execution to support, and address if needed, site level initiatives, IR coordination and workforce planning.
Skilled in influencing and building trusted relationships across all levels of the organisation.
Adaptable and composed in fast‑paced or complex settings ensuring agility needed to navigate change efforts, roundtable presentations and dynamic site environments, while maintain a solutions‑oriented mindset.
