Position Overview

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to support daily laboratory operations, product testing, and formulation work. In this role, you will help carry out QC checks, prepare samples, assist in product development, and ensure that laboratory processes follow safety, GMP, and SOP standards. You will work closely with the R&D and Production teams to support testing, documentation, and small-scale manufacturing activities. Job Descriptions
  • Conduct formulation development tasks, including creation of scent, skincare/cosmetic prototypes, mix development, colour matching and verification.
  • Assist in sensory evaluation sessions, including fragrance testing or product benchmarking.
  • Carry out laboratory tests, including viscosity measurement, pH checks, appearance evaluation, stability testing and compatibility testing.
  • Support QC checks on incoming raw materials, in-process mixtures, and finished goods.
  • Record, compile, and update test results, product specifications, batch records, and formulation sheets in a standardized format.
  • Assist in technology transfer from pilot batches to full‑scale manufacturing, ensuring smooth handover to production team.
  • Provide operational support during small production runs, filling trials, or machine setup.
  • Accurately weigh, measure, and prepare raw materials according to formulation requirements.
  • Ensure the laboratory is kept organized, clean, and audit‑ready following internal SOPs and GMP guidelines.
  • Operate, clean, and maintain laboratory and production equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and hygiene standards.
  • Any other jobs assigned.
Professional Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum Higher Nitec in Chemical, Chemical Process Technology, Biotechnology, or a related discipline.
  • Working knowledge of quality assurance methods, laboratory practices, and testing procedures.
  • Solid understanding of relevant regulatory standards (e.g., GMP, ISO).
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong attention to detail; meticulous and well‑organized.
  • Excellent data collection, documentation, and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively in a team.
  • Willingness to learn; on‑the‑job training will be provided.
Technical Skills
  • Proficient in using laboratory instruments such as viscometers, pH meters, analytical balances, mixers, and stability chambers.
  • Familiar with basic physical/chemical testing, sample preparation, and formulation procedures.
  • Able to perform QC checks on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods.
  • Comfortable operating and maintaining laboratory and small‑scale production equipment.
  • Skilled in data entry and documentation using tools such as MS Excel, Google Sheets, or LIMS (if applicable).
  • Basic understanding of formulation development, color matching, and prototype preparation
