Job Summary

We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Lab Technician to support our refrigerant reclamation operations. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting analytical testing on refrigerant samples, ensuring lab equipment is properly maintained and calibrated, and supporting compliance with industry and environmental standards. This position plays a key role in maintaining the quality and purity of reclaimed refrigerants, in line with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform analytical testing and quality control on incoming, reclaimed, and processed refrigerant samples.
• Coordinate with production teams to ensure accurate sampling and address any quality-related concerns.
• Operate and maintain analytical instruments such as Gas Chromatographs (GC), halide detectors, and titration equipment used in refrigerant analysis.
• Coordinate with third-party service providers for calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Perform internal calibrations and ensure proper documentation and traceability for all lab instruments.
• Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and risk assessments to reflect current practices.
• Record test results accurately and ensure timely preparation and delivery of test certificates and reports to clients.
• Safely manage chemical storage, labeling, and disposal in accordance with environmental and safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment.
• Monitor and manage laboratory inventory, including refrigerant standards, chemical reagents, and consumables.
• Support general administrative tasks and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of laboratory experience, preferably in refrigerant, HVAC, or chemical analysis.
• Hands-on experience with Gas Chromatography (GC) and titration methods is an advantage.
