Introduction

Located in the heart of Singapore, Willow is an Asian fine-dining restaurant celebrated for its innovative approach to traditional Asian flavours. Our philosophy brings together premium seasonal ingredients, contemporary techniques, and warm hospitality to create an elevated yet soulful dining journey. We are seeking a motivated Junior Sommelier to support our beverage programme and help deliver exceptional dining experiences that reflect Willow’s commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing the restaurant’s wine, sake, and beverage programme, supporting thoughtful selections that complement Willow’s Asian fine-dining ethos.
  • Engage with guests, providing guidance on wine, sake, and beverage pairings under the supervision of the Sommelier.
  • Support the operations team with daily floor duties, including table setup, clearing, and explaining beverages to guests.
  • Assist in curating wine, sake, and beverage pairings in collaboration with the culinary and senior beverage team.
  • Help manage beverage inventory, including receiving, storing, and maintaining stock levels and quality.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating wine and sake lists, introducing seasonal selections under guidance.
  • Uphold high service standards, ensuring each guest enjoys a polished, attentive, and memorable experience.
  • Continuously develop knowledge of wines, sake, and beverages, staying updated on industry trends, especially within Asian fine-dining contexts.
Qualifications
  • 1–2 years of experience in a fine-dining or upscale hospitality environment; internships or training in wine and beverage service are a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of wines, sake, and beverage programmes; formal certifications such as WSET or CMS are an advantage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; good command of English.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with culinary and service teams.
  • Willingness to learn and grow under the guidance of a senior Sommelier.
