Japanese Language Teacher : Montessori Kindergarten (Cluny Court)

About us We are a brand-new Montessori kindergarten located at Cluny Court, dedicated to nurturing young children in an environment of respect, independence, and joyful learning. In addition to our core Montessori curriculum, we are launching an elective Japanese-language program for our students.

Position: Japanese Language Teacher (Elective Language Program)
Type: Full-time or Freelance — flexible arrangement available
Location: Cluny Court

What we are looking for:

  • A teacher who loves children, is patient, kind, and caring.
  • Passionate about early childhood education and fosters a nurturing, supportive environment.
  • Experienced in teaching Japanese to young children (ideally preschool / kindergarten age).
  • Flexible schedule: either full-time commitment or freelance / part-time hours depending on candidate’s preference.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver fun, age-appropriate Japanese lessons for Kindergarten children as an elective language option.
  • Engage children with interactive, playful, and hands-on activities to build basic Japanese language skills (listening, speaking, simple vocabulary).
  • Communicate with parents about the children’s progress in the language program.
  • If full-time, participate in general kindergarten duties: caring for children, helping with routines, contributing to the overall class environment.

Qualifications & Attributes:

  • Background in early childhood education, language teaching, or relevant field. (Experience with children aged 2–6 is a plus.)
  • Preferably some prior experience teaching Japanese to young children.
  • Patient, empathetic, warm, and child-oriented; able to respect each child’s individuality and learning pace.
  • Good communication skills and teamwork spirit.
  • Flexible availability if working freelance/part-time.
