Job description

The Infrastructure and Azure Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-wide infrastructure and cloud-based solutions on Microsoft Azure. This role leads Azure Cloud Service, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of IT systems while aligning infrastructure strategies with business objectives. The candidate works with internal business stakeholders, drives cloud transformation initiatives, and collaborates with cross-functional teams across regions.

Basic Duties and Responsibilities:

Cloud Architecture & Deployment
  • Work with others to develop and execute infrastructure and cloud strategies aligned with corporate IT goals.
  • Support transformation initiatives to enhance scalability, efficiency, and standardization across IT operations.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance and cost.
Infrastructure Operations & Cloud Implementation
  • Oversee network, server, storage, and endpoint environments, ensuring performance and reliability.
  • Assist in cloud architecture design and optimization for Azure platforms.
  • Ensure robust disaster recovery, backup, and data protection mechanisms.
Team Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Discuss with business and offer cloud solutions.
  • Collaborate with local IT teams.
  • Drive knowledge transfer and upskilling initiatives for IT support teams.

Technical Expertise
  • Cloud Platforms: Extensive hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, and GCP.
  • DevOps & Automation: Advanced skills in Kubernetes orchestration, CI/CD pipeline design (Azure DevOps), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Helm).
  • Security & Compliance: Strong background in cloud security, compliance frameworks, firewall management (FortiGate, Cisco ISE), and endpoint security (Microsoft Defender, Trend Micro).
  • Networking: Proficient in configuring and managing enterprise networks, VPNs, VLANs, firewalls (Fortinet, Cisco Meraki, Kerio, PFsense, Sophos), and network access policies.
  • Monitoring & Management: Implemented monitoring solutions for cloud and on-premises environments, including SolarWinds and Microsoft Defender.
  • Virtualization: Experience with VMware ESXi, vCenter, and Windows Server virtualization.
  • Identity & Access Management: Managed Microsoft 365, Exchange, Intune, and Azure AD environments.
  • Collaboration Tools & Scripting: Integrated and automated IT management tools (ManageEngine, Jira Service Management).
Professional Experience
  • Minimum 8 years in IT infrastructure and Azure cloud services.
    Lead Cloud infrastructure operations, automation, and security services
  • Experienced in Architecture and implementation of CI/CD pipelines
  • Project Management experience for managing infrastructure and cloud migration projects.
  • Led technical operations, improved network security, and managed cloud adoption.
  • Migrated systems to the cloud, implemented secure VPNs with MFA, and managed Windows Server/VMware environments
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Cultural sensitivity and experience working across multinational teams.
