Role Overview
We are looking for a forward driven IT Engineer Network OSS to support mission critical network operations within a high availability manufacturing and operations environment. This role sits at the front line of stability, ensuring seamless network connectivity, security enforcement, and operational continuity across production and enterprise systems.
This position is ideal for fresh graduates with strong learning agility and positive mindset, as well as diploma holders with solid hands‑on network experience seeking long term technical progression in an enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
Network Operations and OSS Support
- Support daily operations of enterprise network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, and connectivity services.
- Perform OSS monitoring, fault detection, and incident response across network environments.
- Conduct first level troubleshooting on LAN, WAN, WiFi, VPN, and security related issues.
- Escalate complex faults to senior engineers and vendors with structured diagnostics.
Firewall and Security Operations
- Support firewall operations with exposure to Checkpoint firewall environments.
- Assist in firewall rule implementation, access control changes, and security policy validation.
- Perform routine checks on network security posture and connectivity integrity.
24x7 Standby Support Readiness
- Participate in 24x7 standby support rotation to ensure business continuity.
- Engineers are only required to be contactable via phone during standby.
- Real world activation is low frequency and typically occurs once or twice per quarter if the network is maintained at optimal health.
Deployment, Documentation, and Process Compliance
- Support network deployment, patching, and maintenance activities.
- Update network diagrams, asset tracking, and operational documentation.
- Adhere to ITIL aligned incident and change management processes.
- Support audits, compliance checks, and operational governance controls.
Requirements and Experience
Education and Entry Criteria
- Fresh graduates with strong interest in networking and positive attitude will be considered.
- Diploma holders must possess at least 3 to 4 years of solid and relevant network experience.
Technical Skills
- Working knowledge of Cisco network technologies including switching and routing.
- Exposure to Firewall technologies with Checkpoint knowledge preferred.
- Basic understanding of TCP IP, VLAN, NAT, VPN, DNS, and network troubleshooting methodologies.
- Experience in OSS monitoring or network operations is an advantage.
