Job summary

A leading cybersecurity firm in Singapore seeks a Cybersecurity professional to assist the Head of Security in establishing backend systems, responding to cybersecurity alerts, and ensuring compliance with security standards. Candidates should have at least 2 years of IT experience or be involved in MINDEF-related projects. Strong governance skills and relevant certifications such as SSCP or CISSP are preferred. Responsibilities:

Assist the Head of Security forthe Cyber Team in, but not limited to, the following areas:

  • Establish and manage backend systems to provide security support and governance to endpoints
  • Setup, configure IT asset and system, apply security control measures in according the police and guides.
  • Respond to potential cyber security alerts and implement security patches and fixes for system.
  • Manage access control of network switches and administer project applications.
  • Remediate vulnerabilities, ensuring systems meet security compliance standards.
  • Maintain an up-to-date asset inventory for all equipment
  • Understand company security policies, ensure security compliance for the Business Units in accordance with policies (CIS, ISO) and Industrial Security Manual (ISM).
  • Assist in building security awareness and culture through regular briefings, training sessions, and broadcast reminders.
  • Assist in the conduct of audits on projects and systems.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments on network infrastructure, identifying and mitigating security risks, and scanning for Indicators of Compromise.
  • Conduct security checks and highlighting areas for improvement.
  • Manage and implement technologies to improve security compliance and productivity.
Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of experience in IT management is an advantage or prior involvement in MINDEF/SAF-related cybersecurity projects.
  • Knowledge and experience in systems, endpoints and network configuration.
  • Knowledge in commercial and good IT security governance and practices.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with minimal guidance.
  • Ability to self-learn and continuously upgrade relevant skillsets.
  • Strong drive and determination to achieve set goals.
  • A keen eye for detail is an advantage.
  • Preferably holds SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner) or CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) qualifications or their equivalent.
