Investment & Funds Analyst
About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Investment & Funds Analyst to join our investment team. This role will assist with portfolio management, performance analysis, and reporting, ensuring data accuracy and alignment with the Chief Investment Officer’s (CIO) investment strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively manage investment and fund management functions, including month‑end and year‑end processes, ensuring all financial data is accurate, complete, and timely.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive portfolio reports, including performance summaries, holdings analysis, and multi‑asset class risk exposure details.
- Maintain and update detailed portfolio records covering capital investments, fixed income instruments, equities, and deposits.
- Conduct investment performance evaluations, including yield calculations, return tracking, and variance analysis against projections.
- Manage cash flow operations, fixed deposit placements, bank balance monitoring, and fund transfers, ensuring accurate reconciliations.
- Work closely with external institutions (banks, brokers, and fund managers) to ensure smooth execution, settlement, and reporting of transactions.
- Collaborate closely with the CIO to support investment planning, reporting, and decision‑making.
- Leverage advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, macros), as well as VBA and Python programming, for data processing, portfolio tracking, and reporting automation.
- Prepare investment valuation documents and materials required for management and statutory review.
- Ensure data in all internal systems and reports is consistent, accurate, and complete.
Minimum Requirements – Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Minimum Requirements – Experience
- Minimum 3 – 5 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, treasury, or investment operations.
- Experience with portfolio management, banking, or brokerage environments is an advantage.
Minimum Requirements – Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, dashboards, and data analysis).
- Working knowledge of VBA and/or Python for automation and reporting.
- Familiarity with investment tracking systems, financial software, and data visualization tools.
- Knowledge of various investment products (fixed income, equities, FX, funds, structured products).
Minimum Requirements – Knowledge
- Good understanding of financial markets, investment principles, and treasury operations.
- Awareness of compliance standards and reporting requirements in financial operations.
