Job summary

A leading design firm in Singapore is looking for dedicated Designers at Intermediate/Senior levels. The role requires managing project coordination with design teams and consultants, developing design concepts through to construction, and maintaining thorough documentation. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or Interior Design, along with 7-10 years of relevant experience, particularly in Residential projects, with skills in AutoCAD, Sketchup, and Photoshop among others.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of relevant Architecture and/or Interior Design experience, especially in Residential projects.
• Experience in Hospitality, F&B, and Commercial projects is a plus.
• International experience preferred.

• Develop and prepare Design Development and Tender Drawings.
• Execute design direction and develop concepts to constructable levels.
• Maintain accurate documentation of Design at all project stages.

Job description

Job Overview:

We are looking for energetic and dedicated Designers, to fill Intermediate/Senior positions, who enjoy being hands-on during all aspects of design and construction, and are flexible to adapt/contribute to various aspects of a multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities:

• Able to manage and independently facilitate coordination with consultants and design teams
• Put together Design Development and Tender Drawings
• Understand and execute design direction, develop concepts to constructable levels
• Integrally develop Design, generate ideas utilizing sketches, 2D and 3D, visualizations, and presentation formats, at all stages of the project from Planning and Concept, through Construction Administration.
• Maintain documentation of Design of at all project stages, logically, with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Manage projects, schedules, teams and consultants as required, independently and in close collaboration with Principal/Directors.
• Represent MEC Studio to clients, operators and consultants and travel internationally for project meetings, as required.
• Grow and contribute to MEC Studio as a sustainable work environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or Interior Design
• 7-10 years of relevant Architecture and/or Interior Design working experience, particularly with history of Residential projects. Hospitality, F&B, and Commercial a plus.
• High proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketchup, Photoshop, Office (PowerPoint, Word, & Excel, etc.)
• Good communication skills in English. Bahasa, Vietnamese, and/or Chinese are a plus
• International experience and/or capability of working with foreign clients/consultants are a plus
• 3D modelling and rendering capability (D5, Lumion), Adobe Creative Suite, or other multi-media software are a plus
