Job description
What this job involves:

Passion for designing

Are you passionate about creating innovative designs? We want a person deft in providing solutions to all design‑related problems by generating better alternatives. In fact, we’re looking for an avid interior designer who is competent to handle and accomplish any assignment successfully, using professional concepts and procedures. For this, you need to be an expert in developing and producing CAD and BIM drawing packages for design reviews, tender processes, and on-ground execution. Knowledge of producing sketch plans, concept design, space planning, design documentation, monitor design intent progression on site, etc. will be expected from the role.

Thinking from clients’ perspective

Your creativity will directly reflect on clients’ satisfaction. As the company’s primary design interface with clients, you will attend all client meetings and be present during site visits. It will be your responsibility to supervise the production of finished boards for client presentations. Having experience on your side, you’ll render plans and elevations and convey design concepts to clients. You’ll also ensure that the professional services we deliver are only of the highest quality.

Mentoring and coordination

As an expert, you’ll lead design critiques and represent the company at different design forums. We expect you to be a team player with an ability to guide, advise, mentor and coordinate other designers and professionals on projects. You’ll also meet suppliers, coordinate and educate the design team on new materials, brands and special treatments. This will involve selection, scheduling and concept of FF&E, and colour and material of projects for client presentations and space planning concepts. It’ll be your responsibility to review drawings, mock‑ups, material and finished samples that the project contractors submit. You should be eager to grow beyond the specified role, as your manager may assign you other responsibilities aligned to business and organisational goals.

Sound like you? To apply you need to be:
Qualified professional

The role is meant for you if you have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of design with experience in workplace projects. But, we also expect you to be proficient in using Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and other 3D computer design programmes.

Well‑versed with experience

Your degree will hold more value if it is topped with a few years’ experience in interior designing. Having set high standards, we want you to have proven project experience and ability to deliver medium to large‑scale workplace projects, that would demonstrate your capabilities and expertise. It would help immensely if you have experience in design documentation, technical drawing and interior package documentation for workplace fit‑outs, including joinery documentation. We’d love it if you also have client‑facing experience.

Efficient administrator

Do you carry strong planning abilities? You’re the one for the job if along with those abilities, you’re able to develop design concepts. We expect you to have the knowledge of furniture and finishes, planning codes and a clear understanding of budgets. You’ve effective judgment skills, as often you will be required to exercise those skills within constrained time scales and resources, meeting clients’ demands.

Team player with high communication skills

Since you’ll be the face for clients, communication, preferably in English, should be one of your biggest strengths. If you have a flair for dealing with clients it will be an added benefit, as you will be making design presentations for them. Besides, your communication skills will enable you to handle your team perfectly. We’d love your skills to interact and work with all levels of staff in other disciplines. After all, it’s teamwork!
