Job summary

A technology firm in Singapore is seeking a Safety Officer to assist in implementing and maintaining the Safety & Health Management System (SHMS) across project sites. The ideal candidate will support EHS policies and procedures and conduct risk assessments. With a focus on ISO compliance, the role requires experience in safety within construction or engineering. The candidate should possess a relevant diploma or degree, a WSQ Advanced Certificate, and a registered MOM Safety Officer Certificate.

Job description
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining the Safety & Health Management System (SHMS) for project sites and operations.
  • Support the application of company EHS policies, procedures and safe work practices.
  • Assist in maintaining documentation required for ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 compliance.
  • Assist in conducting risk assessments, job safety analyses and hazard identification for installation, cabling, testing and maintenance works.
  • Support the development and communication of Safe Work Procedures (SWP) and Method Statements.
  • Carry out regular site inspections and report unsafe acts or conditions.
  • Maintain safety records including inspection checklists, training attendance, incident logs and corrective action tracking.
  • Prepare incident and near-miss reports.
  • Support audit preparation and follow-up actions.
  • Assist in organising and conducting toolbox meetings, safety briefings and in-house HSE training.
  • Support the Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) Committee by preparing meeting materials, minutes and follow-up actions.
  • Any ad-hoc duties assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
  • Specialist Diploma or Degree in Workplace Safety & Health, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline.
  • WSQ Advanced Certificate in WSH.
  • Registered MOM Safety Officer Certificate.
