Job summary

SMRT Corporation Ltd is seeking a Manager, HRBP Strides in Singapore to deliver hands-on HR support to assigned Business Units, partnering leaders on workforce priorities and driving people processes across recruitment, performance, industrial relations, and governance.

You will work closely with leaders and HR Centres of Excellence, manage headcount and workforce reporting, and coach the team to ensure compliant, timely, and high-quality HR outcomes in a complex operational environment.

Qualifications

• Recognised degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organisational Psychology or related discipline.
• Typically 5–8 years of progressive HR experience, including HRBP exposure and direct responsibilities for day-to-day workforce operations.
• Demonstrated ability to partner with frontline and senior leaders, diagnose issues and implement policy‑compliant solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore employment legislation, fair employment practices and HR governance requirements; industrial relations experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operational HR partnering: be the primary HR contact for assigned units and provide timely advice.
• Employee relations and case management: manage performance, attendance, misconduct, and disciplinary cases with proper documentation.
• Industrial relations: engage with unions and representatives; prepare materials and follow-up actions.
• Workforce deployment and staffing: collaborate on manpower, recruitment priorities, deployments, and shifts.
• Performance cycle delivery: coordinate goal setting, reviews, moderation, and succession activities.
• HR policy, compliance and governance: apply policies, maintain records and monitor risks.
• HR operations coordination: work with payroll, benefits, recruitment and learning teams; resolve queries.
• People data and reporting: monitor headcount, attrition, movements; provide insights.
• Team supervision: allocate work, set standards, coach team members.
• Strategic business partnering: align HR plan with business priorities with clear milestones.
• Workforce and organisation planning: contribute to planning, reviews, and capability planning.
• Change and continuous improvement: lead or support HR change projects and adoption.
