Job summary

Fairmont Singapore & Swissôtel The Stamford is seeking a Telecommunications Officer to support hotel communications. You will handle shift tasks, log incidences, and coordinate with departments to resolve guest requests efficiently.

Ideal candidates bring hospitality experience, strong English, and knowledge of OPERA/PMS systems, PBX, and call accounting. This role is based in Singapore with on-site duties and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in Hospitality/Service.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Knowledge of OPERA System is preferred.
• Minimum ‘O’ level education with 5 credits or Diploma.
• Proficient with Windows, Internet Explorer and Word; POS or PMS system.
• Strong management, planning, decision making, interpersonal, communication and counselling skills.
• Knowledge of PBX and Voicemail system, Call Accounting, Guest Request Management and Property Management System.

Responsibilities

• Complete tasks on the Officer Shift Checklist and log job incidences.
• Report broadband and telephone equipment defects to vendors.
• Attend to complaints and enquiries referred by Communications Assistant.
• Highlight important events and instructions to the team.
• Handle follow ups from the previous shift.
• Process the hotel’s general emails to relevant departments.
• Monitor job status in Guest Request Management and report delays.
• Verify call charges and postings in PMS and Call Accounting.
