Why This Mission

The High-end segment, encompassing High Jewelry and Haute Horlogerie, is a key category that CHANEL has high ambitions to develop in the mid-term. Our goal is to become one of the 5 key leading high jewelry brands in the market as well as the referent brand for feminine high-end watches.

In this context, it is essential that we provide the right level of high end assortment, systems, and after-sales service to drive the business development of high-end category in line with our MT Pro roadmap.

Impact You Can Create In The Role

The High-End Merchandising Manager, SEAA & SG will be a key partner of SEAA Merchandising and retail community as well as Global HBD for HEB in co-defining HE assortments for SEAA, ensuring relevant and timely transfers, accompanying, and supporting our markets with (new) processes, as well as day-to-day requests.

Leveraging Singapore’s status as the primary hub for high-end business in the SEAA region, this role is uniquely positioned to drive innovation and operational excellence. By piloting new initiatives in Singapore and disseminating proven strategies and best practices across SEAA markets, the role enhances collaboration, streamlines processes, and elevates the overall standard of merchandising and business development activities throughout the region.

Stock Transfer Management

Manage and review all stock transfers within SEAA and out of SEAA by minimizing the number of transfer lead time and maximizing the conversion rate in markets.

Evaluate based on past sales history, local high-end capabilities and stock situation to make decision on non-planned stock transfer requests between markets.

Drive the continuous improvement and optimization of transfer process and system by soundboard with global teams and ensure markets in SEAA follow commercial guidelines and SOPs.

Manage and Define High-End Model Stock and Sales Through Collaboration With Merchandising & Retail Teams

Define & follow up the model stock fulfilment. Monitor and manage High-End stock routings throughout the year to support daily business and client presentations. Analyse model stock achievement as well as stock quality by monitoring stock and sales data and propose appropriate action plan and transfers to the Merchandising & Business development manager.

Co-build the SEAA Product Strategy With Markets

Advice markets on the special requests and follow through the process and work closely with markets to ensure the best client experience and manage the expectations.

Provide weekly / monthly / yearly KPI report.

Events & Routings for High-End Stock Management

Co-define with markets and HBD the HE pieces assortments for all events and routings in SEAA.

Support Merchandising & Business development manager, SEAA markets in preparing for International and Regional events: communication with markets, sales tools, documents for Operations / Insurance, gathering qualitative and quantitative feedback from markets for a new launch…

Assist in the event follow-up of timely pieces transfers for delivery and presentation.

Ad-hoc support market’s event upon need.

Processes & System Improvement

Professionalise the high-end business activities in SEAA & SG. Automate and standardise the transactional / administrative tasks and operational process which are mainly manually done by Excel and emails.

Be an expert on the merchandising / operation flow and provide daily operational support to SEAA markets.

Ensure markets follow guidelines set by Global and Regional (commercial guidelines, processes).

Work closely with IT / Global HBD / Operations for system improvement (transfers, sales registration, analysis, after sales service etc.).

Set up SOPs for all HE processes and update HE SEAAsphere. Update SOPs upon need and propose the markets training directions.

Quality Control & After Sales Service
  • Lead SEAA and influence global’s High Jewellery Quality Control and Manipulation standard and procedures from production centric to client centric.

Communicate and ensure the implementation of high-end pieces handling and packing SOP.

Collect feedback from markets and provide recommendation to the After-sales service team in SEAA and global on the QC SOP.

Monitor and implement measures to prevent the damage of stock due to improper handling and packing by markets.

Improve the condition of high-end pieces in SEAA & SG. Make decision on exceptional repairs before pieces sold to improve the conversion rate for important presentation.
