Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Healthcare Assistant to join our care team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients, assisting with daily living activities, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring comfort and dignity at all times. You will work closely with nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, person-centered care.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist resident with individual hygiene and personal care as directed and supervised by Registered Nurse following documented care plan.
  • Promote education of self-care and independence for residents ensuring the outcome standards for resident care are achieved.
  • Monitor residents' physical condition and report any changes or deterioration to the Registered Nurse.
  • Assist residents who have problems with mobility ensuring appropriate transfer and lifting techniques are employed.
  • Participate in nursing home recreational activities; provide physical, emotional and social assistance. Encourage residents' involvement.
  • Assist residents during meals with eating and drinking, report any problems to the Registered Nurse.
  • Observe safe work practices while attending to responsibilities and reports any problems to the Registered Nurse.
  • Carry out any other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Requirements
  • Minimum GCE ‘N’ or ‘O’ Level Certification, or relevant certificate in Healthcare Support.
  • Ability to work 6 days a week in rotating shifts, including weekends and Public Holidays.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as assisting patients effectively and safely.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
  • Previous healthcare experience is preferred.
