HR Director, APAC | Multinational Company

Frazer Jones is retained on a confidential basis by a leading consumer‑driven and innovative organisation in the FMCG sector to appoint a HR Director to oversee the APAC region. This is a permanent, full‑time position based in Singapore. Specifically in this critical regional leadership role, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading a seasoned HR team to drive HR excellence across diverse markets within Asia Pacific. With the organisation poised to enter a key phase of transformation and with growth plans on the horizon, this role will be important in strengthening the foundation of HR operational processes, and to ensure that the HR function is future‑ready and capable of supporting long‑term expansion.

Key Responsibilities

This role will lead a HR team of 5 members regionally to oversee the end‑to‑end HR agenda across multiple (including high‑growth markets). You will take ownership of the regional HR operating model, ensuring best‑in‑class execution of core HR processes including workforce planning, employee lifecycle management, organisation development, talent management, and HR operations. Whilst this is a leadership role, there is a strong emphasis for this HR leader to remain hands‑on and on the ground, to closely partner with senior stakeholders and provide valuable inputs on operational matters and strategic topics alike. The incoming leader should be able to focus on capability building, driving consistency, and upskilling the existing team as well.

With a strong commercial acumen, this regional HR leader will be working directly with senior stakeholders and demonstrate a keen ability to understand and support the business’ vision with robust and scalable people practices. Another key priority will be supporting culture building, developing a compelling employer brand, and organisational transformation in alignment with global plans. As digital innovation continues to drive business success, the HR leader will also champion HR‑led digital initiatives and support a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Ideal Profile

The client seeks an accomplished HR leader with a strong operational foundation and a proven track record of managing HR across multiple APAC markets within fast‑paced, matrixed environments, preferably within the FMCG or adjacent sectors. As a guideline, you should bring at least 15 years of HR experience, with significant exposure to regional HR leadership, HR operations, organisation development, and business partnering. Experience leading HR teams (a minimum team size of 5) and operating in complex, culturally diverse environments is essential. This role requires strong fluency in navigating both mature and emerging market environments, with the ability to harmonise practices while understanding cultural nuances.
