A global ship operator client is seeking a Freight Trader (Handy-size) in Singapore. The role involves pricing, rate negotiation, and business development with various clients. Candidates should have at least 3 years of relevant experience in Drybulk shipping, preferably with handy-size bulk carriers. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential. This position requires a self-motivated individual who can optimize freight operations and foster business relationships in the Asia Pacific region.

Qualifications

• At least 3+ years of relevant experience within Drybulk shipping preferably Handy-size.
• Extensive experience negotiating time-charter and voyage charterparty terms.
• Experience and/or interest in analyzing balance sheets.

Responsibilities

• Accurately price, sell, and manage freight risk for internal clients.
• Develop 3rd party relationships on cargo and owning side.
• Optimize regional position through arbitrage.
