We are looking for a General Manager to oversee our APAC operations. This key leadership role will be responsible for P&L management, strategic business development and operational excellence across our regional manufacturing network.

Responsibilities
  • Drive overall P&L performance for APAC / ME regions ensuring effective cash contribution to GACs overall EBITDA targets.
  • Serve as the primary interface between Clariant and Wilmar for business opportunities beyond the core Global Amines portfolio.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (SCM Operations Procurement & Sales) to execute business strategy and contribute to Group targets.
  • Partner with the Global Head of Operations to optimize performance of manufacturing sites in China, Indonesia and Japan.
  • Ensure high utilization rates across 5 manufacturing / tolling sites in the APAC region.
  • Lead product cost optimization initiatives including direct / indirect spend savings, raw materials replacement and logistics cost reduction.
  • Oversee portfolio optimization across various production sites.
  • Lead global tenders for key accounts.
  • Manage working capital effectively to optimize cash flow.
Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 10-15 years of experience in the chemical industry with progressive leadership roles.
  • Proven track record in P&L management and business development.
  • Experience with production optimization and capacity utilization improvement.
  • Strategic thinking with ability to translate global strategies into regional execution plans.
