Farmio is scaling rapidly across Asia, with Singapore as a core strategic market. The General Manager will lead and expand all Singapore business activities—including commercial development, operations, supply‑chain execution, and organisational build‑out. This role requires a senior operator with strong leadership maturity, entrepreneurial bias for action, and the ability to drive complex initiatives in a fast‑moving environment.

Key Responsibilities
1. Market Growth & Business Development
  • Shape and execute Farmio’s market expansion strategy in Singapore, including category development, customer acquisition, and commercial initiatives.

  • Lead the development of new product verticals and cross‑border supply‑chain opportunities across Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, and other sourcing markets.

  • Manage and deepen relationships with key accounts, restaurant groups, retail chains, and distribution partners.

  • Oversee contract negotiations, tenders, and partnerships to drive sustainable, long‑term revenue streams.

  • Establish a robust market intelligence loop to identify opportunities, competitive dynamics, pricing shifts, and operational improvement areas.

2. Operations & Supply‑Chain Excellence
  • Oversee day‑to‑day operations, including warehousing, logistics, distribution, inventory management, procurement workflows, and order fulfillment.

  • Implement and optimise SOPs across Sales → Operations → Logistics → Finance to ensure seamless coordination and high service reliability.

  • Drive operational performance improvements across metrics such as fulfillment accuracy, dispatch timeliness, route efficiency, inventory integrity, and customer satisfaction.

  • Lead the operational rollout of Farmio’s AI modules (e.g., dynamic route planning, demand forecasting, inventory optimisation) and ensure adoption within daily workflows.

  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, regulatory, importation, and quality‑control standards.

3. Team Leadership, Culture & Organisational Development
  • Lead, coach, and develop Singapore’s cross‑functional teams—including Sales, Operations, Logistics, Customer Support, and Administrative functions.

  • Build scalable organisational structures, talent pipelines, and succession plans as volume and market complexity increase.

  • Establish and enforce clear performance metrics, discipline standards, and accountability mechanisms across teams.

  • Foster a culture of operational rigor, continuous improvement, and data‑driven decision making.

  • Align team incentives, behaviours, and execution cadence with company‑wide strategic goals.

4. Strategic Initiatives & Cross‑Market Coordination
  • Lead strategic projects including new warehouse setups, category launches, infrastructure upgrades, and cross‑border workflow integration.

  • Serve as the primary market leader interfacing with regional and headquarters teams (Product, Tech, Supply Chain, Finance).

  • Drive cross‑market consistency while adapting processes to Singapore’s unique operational characteristics.

  • Prepare and deliver structured performance updates, operational insights, and strategic recommendations to the Founder and executive leadership.

Candidate Requirements
Professional Experience
  • 7–15+ years of experience in supply chain, operations, FMCG, food services distribution, logistics, or B2B commerce.

  • Proven track record in scaling operations, leading large teams, and managing complex workflows in a high‑velocity environment.

  • Strong cross‑functional leadership experience, managing teams across Sales, Operations, Logistics, and Customer Support.

  • Experienced in building systems, SOPs, and governance frameworks in fast‑growing or high‑complexity organisations.

  • Background in managing large customer portfolios, enterprise accounts, or B2B commercial relationships.

Leadership & Capability Requirements
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong execution discipline; able to convert ambiguity into clear action plans.

  • Strong problem‑solving capabilities and operational judgment; comfortable taking decisive actions with incomplete information.

  • Excellent stakeholder‑management skills across suppliers, partners, customers, and internal teams.

  • Ability to enforce structure, discipline, and accountability while maintaining agility.

  • High level of communication clarity, professional presence, and interpersonal maturity.

  • Comfortable working closely with senior leadership and representing the Singapore business externally.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with data‑driven or AI‑enabled operational environments.

  • Exposure to regulated supply chains and related operations.

  • Experience in launching markets, categories, or large‑scale operational initiatives.

  • Startup or founder background is a strong advantage.

  • Familiarity with Singapore’s F&B ecosystem, distributor networks, and procurement landscape.
