Job summary

A leading energy solutions firm in Singapore is seeking a Mechanical Integrity Engineer to contribute to the design of next-generation gas turbines. Your role will involve assessing the structural integrity of combustor components under extreme conditions. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering and have experience with gas turbines. You'll work with cross-functional teams and help develop lifing methodologies while ensuring stable combustion and low emissions for various fuels, including hydrogen.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, aeronautical engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with gas turbines or aero industry will be beneficial.
  • Experience with additive manufacturing and welding will be beneficial.
  • Experience in structural analysis and understanding of underlying principles and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in software tools such as ABAQUS, HyperWorks, NASGRO.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

  • Perform stress and lifing assessments using finite element analysis (FEA) and other numerical methods.
  • Contribute to development projects for burner, combustors and fuel systems.
  • Present analysis results and technical life statements in design reviews.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data for accurate assessments and calculations.
  • Help develop and improve lifing methodologies and procedures.
