Who We Are Looking For
We seek a candidate who thrives in ambiguity, excels at building projects from inception, and is adept at facilitating workshops and collaborating with senior stakeholders. In addition to strong UX fundamentals, this role places emphasis on visual design quality, UI craft, and gamification-informed interaction design.
What you'll do
- Lead product design from discovery to delivery with minimal supervision
- Translate user needs into journeys, flows, and interfaces that drive action and adoption
- Plan and conduct user research, usability testing, and heuristic evaluations, and synthesise findings into actionable insights
- Facilitate ideation and co-creation workshops with internal teams or stakeholders
- Partner closely with PMs and engineers to scope and deliver solutions
- Present and advocate design decisions to senior stakeholders confidently
- Design using modern tools like Figma and Notion, and leverage AI tools to improve design speed and productivity
- Contribute to and evolve the design system and interaction patterns
- Maintain a strong feedback loop with users, analytics, and qualitative insights
- Balance engagement mechanics with clarity, inclusiveness, and public-sector sensibilities
Qualifications
- Has 5+ years of experience designing digital products, preferably in product-led or agile teams
- Can own projects end-to-end, from framing to final design handoff
- Strong communication skills to articulate UX, UI, and interaction decisions clearly
- Is confident in stakeholder engagement, including presenting to leadership/senior management
- Is skilled at using Figma, prototyping, and delivering responsive interfaces
- Has working knowledge of AI-enabled design tools (e.g., Figma Make, Loveables, Galileo AI, or Figma AI plugins)
- Is comfortable working in fast-paced environments and iterating quickly
- Is curious, empathetic, and not afraid to question assumptions
- Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality UI and interaction designs for production systems
- Bonus: Experience creating engaging, user-centric experiences by thoughtfully incorporating game mechanics such as progression, rewards, or feedback loops is a plus.
