Job Overview

The FX & Derivatives Sales, Manager will be responsible for advising clients on Capital Market products, including FX, OTC Derivatives, and Structured Products. You will play a critical role in driving revenue growth by deepening client relationships, expanding the customer base, and delivering tailored solutions. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of market instruments, regulatory compliance, and strong sales acumen to meet both client needs and internal performance targets.

Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Advisory
  • Provide professional advice and sales of Capital Market products such as FX, OTC derivatives, and structured products to corporate and institutional clients.
  • Develop tailored investment and hedging solutions in line with client objectives and risk profiles.
  • Actively identify new sales opportunities and cultivate a pipeline to meet team revenue goals.
2. Customer Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to generate recurring business and increase customer loyalty.
  • Respond to daily client inquiries and provide high-touch service to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Follow up post-sale activities and monitor deal lifecycle to ensure service continuity.
3. Compliance & Due Diligence
  • Conduct full Know Your Customer (KYC), Customer Due Diligence (CDD), and Customer Risk Profiling processes.
  • Perform Product Due Diligence (PDD) and assign Product Risk Ratings as per regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure all activities are compliant with internal risk policies and MAS regulatory standards.
4. Credit and Risk Management
  • Evaluate and manage clients\' creditworthiness, recommend limits, and monitor exposure.
  • Monitor the risk profile of transactions and ensure documentation and deal execution adhere to internal policies.
5. Operational & Documentation
  • Revise and maintain policies, procedures, and manuals for capital market sales operations.
  • Handle customer documentation and ensure accuracy and completeness of trade records.
6. Internal & External Collaboration
  • Participate in internal committees and external meetings with clients, counterparties, or regulators.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders for new product approvals and process enhancements.
  • Conduct UAT testing to ensure system readiness and operational flow for new product launches.
7. Business Development & Innovation
  • Propose and drive marketing initiatives to promote capital market products.
  • Identify gaps in product offerings and contribute to the development of innovative financial solutions.
Job Requirements
Educational Background
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
Professional Experience
  • Minimum 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in FX and derivatives sales, preferably within a corporate or institutional banking environment.
  • Experience with structured products and knowledge of capital market instruments.
Regulatory Certifications Mandatory:
  • Capital Markets and Financial Advisory Services (CMFAS):
    • CM-EIP (M6) – Equities & Investment Products
    • CM-SIP (M6A) – Securities & Investment Products
    • RES1B (M1B) – Rules & Regulations
    • RES2B (M2A) – Analysis, Product Knowledge & Advisory
    • FMRP – Fundamentals of Market Risk Profiling
Strongly Preferred:
  • RES5 (M5) – Ethics and Professional Responsibility
Technical & Functional Competencies
  • Solid knowledge of FX, OTC derivatives, and structured products.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory landscape and compliance requirements (e.g., MAS guidelines).
  • Proficient in credit assessment and risk management tools.
  • Familiarity with front-to-back trade processes and system workflows.
