Job summary

SPEEDWAY LOGISTICS & TRANSPORTATION (S) PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a Freight Operations Coordinator to manage daily freight operations, execute shipments end-to-end, prepare documentation, and handle customs clearance and invoicing.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of relevant experience; exposure to air and sea freight is a strong advantage.
• Understanding of shipping procedures, documentation and customs clearance.
• Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to identify and solve problems; capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate among customers, vendors, warehouse teams and internal departments to manage workflows for import, export and transshipment cargoes.
• Prepare and verify shipping documentation and process customs permit declarations via TradeNet/PortNet.
• Work with overseas agents, carriers, and clients to ensure smooth shipment handovers.
• Maintain proactive communication regarding shipment status, delays and operational updates.
• Handle customer inquiries regarding freight rates and shipment tracking.
• Prepare accurate rate quotations and service proposals.
• Verify vendor changes, transport costs and carrier invoices against agreed rates.
• Generate customer billing and job invoicing.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies or delays to maintain service standards.

Basic Salary: S$2,700 to S$3,000

Working Hours: 5 Working Days, 08:30amto 05:30pm

Manage daily freight operations, handling end-to-end shipment execution, documentation, customs clearance and invoicing. Serve as a key liaison between clients, overseas partners and carriers to ensure efficient and timely cargo movements.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate among customers, vendors, warehouse teams and internal departments to manage operational workflows for import, export and transshipment cargoes.
2. Prepare and verify shipping documentation and process customs permit declarations via TradeNet/PortNet.
3. Work directly with overseas agents, carriers, and clients to ensure smooth shipment handovers.
4. Maintain clear and proactive communication regarding shipment status, potential delays and operational updates.
5. Field customer inquiries regarding freight rates and shipment tracking.
6. Prepare accurate rate quotations and service proposals.
7. Verify vendor changes, transport costs and carrier invoices against agreed rates.
